After having watched many YouTube reviews the best steakhouse in Vegas we wanted to visit this particular one. it was billed as very difficult to get in as there is always a wait and reservations are hard to get We arrived on a rainy Monday around dinner time and were greeted by the lovely hostesses at the front. The wait was about an hour for a bar table, I was also instructed to ask the bartender how long the wait would be for a seat at the bar to eat dinner. Ricki the bartender was extremely nice. She Put our name on the list and we waited about 20 minutes and were seated. She was very attentive and very pleasant. We ordered the prime rib with some sides, and the food came out in good time, and exactly as we had asked The prime rib was good, not the best I’ve ever had but most certainly better than most places who serve this cut. Baked potato was huge and absolutely delicious. Ordered the side sauces, which were average. Lots of choices for wine by the glass and moderately priced We did have dessert, bananas foster, due to the location we were sitting at was not prepared table side and brought out finished. (Which was fine to not have the show!-the bar is tight quarters) The coffee was very good and I absolutely loved that they bring out little individual coffee pots they leave at your table so you can have refills without having to ask the waitress. Overall for two dinners, two glasses of wine and dessert the bill was $230. It was fun to get into this iconic place and we certainly enjoyed how friendly the staff was! Definitely worth a visit if you like steak.

This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me! We definitely got lucky—we arrived at 4 p.m. before they opened and managed to claim a seat in the bar area. The next person behind us wasn’t as fortunate and got turned down for a bar seat. Everyone there was incredibly nice and super accommodating! Alejandro was one of our servers, and he was excellent—super cool and attentive. We started with the Shrimp De Jonghe and the Golden Steer Dinner Salad, both of which were absolutely delicious. For our main courses, we ordered the Prime Rib of Beef (English Cut) and the Chicken Parmigiana—both were so tender you could cut them with a fork. A special shout-out to the creamy horseradish sauce—it was ultra tasty! We also ordered the twice-baked potato, but we were so full that we had to take it home with us. We wrapped up the meal with Bananas Foster, and let me warn you—it’s so good that you’ll do exactly what we did: finish every last bite, even if it leaves you completely stuffed! One thing to note—if you’re sitting in the bar area, they don’t do tableside presentations, so you’ll miss out on that experience. But Alejandro recommended the house Old Fashioned, and he was absolutely right—it was the perfect way to end an amazing meal and an awesome trip!

Golden Steer Steakhouse is, without question, the best of the best. From the moment you walk in, you're wrapped in nostalgic vibes that transport you straight to the golden age of Vegas. What sets this place apart is how immaculately they've maintained the decor — not outdated, but perfectly preserved and subtly refreshed, so it feels like you're stepping into the very day it opened. Every detail exudes high-class charm. The service is flawless, the atmosphere is iconic, and the food? Absolutely unforgettable. They leave nothing on the table when it comes to quality — it's best-in-class across the board. For me, it's tradition. No trip to Vegas is complete without a dinner at the Golden Steer. It's more than a meal — it's an experience, and one I look forward to every single time. Make a reso and do it the minute you know you're going to Vegas or you won't get in.

The entire experience was amazing, and it was one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever had. However the staff are a class of their own and are what made this one of the best customer experiences I and my family have ever had. We had an error on the booking followed by a family emergency but our contact Sabrina and her colleagues were so accommodating, going above and beyond whilst showing empathy and professionalism. I would highly recommend to everyone and we will be returning on our next visit.
